Heritage Surveys

Welcome to the NNTAC Heritage Surveys page. Here you’ll find the latest news, updates, and event details related to our crucial and ongoing heritage survey work across Ngadju Country.

Ngadju Country contains a plethora of culturally significant sites and places of importance to Ngadju people and protecting and preserving Ngadju cultural heritage is a core function of NNTAC.

Protecting Country and Culture

NNTAC plays a key role in safeguarding cultural heritage as the Prescribed Body Corporate (PBC) for Ngadju Native Title Holders.

Through ongoing community consultation and the implementation of targeted Management Plans, NNTAC works in close partnership with Proponents and land users to ensure that all activities on Ngadju Country respect and preserve culturally significant sites.

All land use and development must adhere to NNTAC’s Cultural Heritage Protocols, which are designed to protect sacred places and ensure their protection for future generations of Ngadju people.
